YOUR APPOINTMENT / MALMÖ✷What to expect at your appointment
If you’re wondering what to expect at your appointment, here’s how it usually goes :)
01WHEN YOU ARRIVEAt the studio
First, you’ll fill out a consent form.
We take our shoes off in the studio, so you’re welcome to bring slippers or indoor shoes if you like.
02YOUR DESIGNLet’s have a look
I’ll show you the design I’ve prepared, and we can go through it together.
If there’s something you’d like to change, just tell me. We can adjust things until we’re both happy with how it looks.
Then I’ll print the design in a few sizes so we can try them on and see what works best for the placement.
03PLACEMENTTrying on the stencil
Once we’ve decided on the size and placement, I’ll transfer the design onto your skin.
Sometimes I’ll draw a few details directly on your body with a marker, especially if the design needs to follow its shape. We’ll always talk about that first.
You can take your time checking everything in the mirror. If the placement doesn’t feel quite right, we can try again.
When you’re happy with it, we’ll let the stencil dry for about 5-15 minutes before starting.
04DURING THE SESSIONTattooing and breaks
I usually take the first break after an hour or an hour and a half, but you can ask for one whenever you need it.
Whether you want to stretch, change position, grab a snack or go to the bathroom, just let me know.
If you leave the tattooing area, I’ll cover your fresh tattoo with foil first.
05BEFORE YOU LEAVEAll done!
Once we’ve finished, I’ll clean your tattoo and give your skin a little time to settle.
If you’re comfortable with it, I’ll take a few photos. Then I’ll put on a dressing and explain how to take care of your tattoo at home.
A few things to know
ONE PERSON A DAYNo need to rush
I usually book just one person per day. That way, I can focus on your tattoo without watching the clock or worrying about the next appointment.
We have time to go through the design, try different sizes and placements, and make changes if we need to.
A FULL-DAY SESSIONHow much can we do?
I can usually finish a tattoo around the size of a hand in one full-day session.
It depends on the design, placement and how much detail or shading we’re doing, so it’s just a rough guide.
FRESH VS HEALEDGrey wash gets lighter
Grey wash shading can look pretty dark when it’s fresh. It gradually gets softer and lighter as the tattoo heals, usually over the next 3-4 weeks.
I’ll mention this during your appointment too, so you know what to expect.
